Day 5

Day 5 in the middle of december sounds lame for real snowboarders, but I work for a living, so fuck off. Today was a weird bluebird with fog below the mountain kind of day. It was super hard/icy because it rained earlier in the week. We had fun riding fast on the groomers. It made me wish I was on a cambered board. Maybe a Stairmaster Extreme is in my future??? I traded that awfull jacket for the purple Airblaster Parka that I sold to my friend a few years ago, it is still the raddest jacket ever. Any way day 5 in one word was... Slippery.

Snowboard Square Pants

Day 4 today. Day 3 was tuesday. I forgot my jacket again today. 2 times out of four this year. I am lame. I really wanted to buy a new jacket this year, and I was forced to today. Let's just say I'm not too happy about the jacket I was forced to buy. Oh well f it. Two Pow days this week, pretty awesome.

Sacramento artist Skinner who’s done graphics for CAPiTA Snowboards and BLOOD WIZARD skateboards teamed up with CAPiTA, and BOARDS n MOTION in Auburn, to give back to the local community. Skinner did a painting at Boards N Motion last week and signed one of the THE QUIVER KILLER boards that he did the graphic for. These are on display at the shop and together they will be given away to the winner of the silent auction that will take place until Friday the 13th of November2009.




So I threw up a bid that I thought would never win, and I won. This was a great cause, and hit home after the art program was cut from my son's school. I hope my little donation does some good. Thanks especially to Chris Wilmoth who set the whole thing up. I can't believe I own a Skinner original art piece.
